The first #ResetRide is in the books!

The first #ResetRide is in the books!

Saturday, July 25, 2026, was a very special day for us at RESET. We had the pleasure of hosting the very first #ResetRide right here at our location. But what exactly is a #ResetRide all about?

The idea behind it is simple: we want to strengthen the adaptive MTB community. We aim to share our expertise in riding techniques and handbike handling, showcase our vision for the future of adaptive mountain biking, and highlight the fact that this sport is still in its infancy. We can’t reveal all our plans just yet, but one thing is certain: exciting times lie ahead!

Back to the #ResetRide

We split the day into two parts. We started in our courtyard—a safe, car-free environment—covering the essential technical fundamentals. The session included everything from handling off-camber sections (riding across slopes) to controlled descents on steep terrain with gradients of up to 38°. It was really cool to see the progress our participants made in such a short time.

A big thank you here to Christina, Ester, and Simone: thank you for handling everything with a smile and never shying away from a challenge! An equally big thank you goes to Markus and Florian for their time and support as support drivers.

And then: the adaptive trail ride.

Now for the part everyone had been waiting for: the trail ride. The route covered 32 km with a total elevation gain of 530 meters. We were truly impressed by how well all the participants and support riders handled the course. It was a tough one, featuring challenging trail sections and steep climbs—both on the road and off-road. A fantastic effort! And as if that wasn’t demanding enough, the heat added an extra layer of difficulty.

There isn’t much left for us to say, except: a picture is worth a thousand words. So feel free to click through the gallery below the article—and who knows, maybe we’ll see you at the next #ResetRide!

Are you already excited about the next event? Then simply send us an email at office@re-set.at, and we’ll put you down as a potential participant right away.

Lovely cycling,

Thomas and Simon
